We at the iNSRA try to provide a fun and realistic racing experience. We ask all of our drivers to be respectful while both on track and in other forms of communication. Those who cannot accept the fact that not every race can go your way, who talk about inappropriate things during the race, or who are disrespectful to anyone on here are not welcome. We want you to spend your time racing and having fun. Please familiarize yourself with the rules below.

 

∞ - Any and all actions contrary to fair play and sportsmanship are subject to repercussions

 

 

Section A - General League Rules

 

A-1: Drivers must have a headset, or at least a way to hear and talk to other drivers and officials.

A-2: Drivers must be at least 18 years old.

A-3: Drivers are only allowed to race with a wheel and pedals.

A-4: Drivers must have at least a Class C 2.5 - Class A 4.99 Safety Rating.

A-5: Drivers must have an iRating of 1500 or above.

A-6: Drivers who do not meet the requirements of A-4 and A-5 can join with a reference from an established league member.

A-7: Applications are only accepted during the time(s) allotted.

A-8: Schedule is subject to change up to 24 hours prior to the scheduled event, unless of an emergency.

 

  Section B - Race Session

 

B-1: Official iNSRA race sessions will be 2 hours long. 30 minutes of practice, 5 minutes for qualifying, 5 minutes for the Drivers Meeting, and 1hr 20min for the race.

B-2: Drivers must abide by all on track rules (See Section C) during practice and qualifying.

B-3: Failure to attend the Drivers Meeting, or continues disruption during the meeting will result in an EOL.

B-4: During practice, drivers must pull clear of the racing surface before resetting.

B-5: Qualifying will be two timed laps, one at road courses. Single car runs will be utilized.

B-6: iRacing will handle wave arounds and Lucky Dogs.

B-7: Full course cautions will be used on all ovals, local cautions only on road courses.

B-8: We will use a fixed setup. The setup will be announced at least 48 hours prior to each event.

B-9: We will utilize iRacing's default weather settings.

B-10: The "track state" will be set at 25% and will carry over through each session.

B-11: If two or more drivers are involved in a wreck, and iRacing does not throw the caution, an admin will unless it is on the last lap.

 

Section C - On-Track Conduct

 

C-1: No intentional wrecking of yourself or others.

C-2: Drivers cannot intentionally bring out a caution.

C-3: Blocking is permitted, but causing a wreck due to blocking will result in a penalty.

C-4: Drivers cannot cut corners to gain an advantage. This applies primarily at road courses.

C-5: Drivers cannot drive through more than two pit stalls that are not their own. (Four tires over the line counts)

C-6: Drivers must stay to the far opposite side of the pit stalls as best they can until they are within five stalls of their own.

C-7: Drivers who are a lap down are permitted to race the leader to stay on the lead lap until five to go. Drivers who are multiple laps down must give way to all lead lap cars.

 

Section D - Plate Racing (Daytona and Talladega)

 

D-1: No passing below the yellow lines. Two tires or more on or below the lines count.

D-2: Drivers cannot go below the yellow lines to gain position.

D-3: Drivers, who are a lap down or more within five to go, must drop out of the lead draft group.

 

Section E - Starts & Restarts

 

E-1: The race will be started and restarted on green.

E-2: Drivers cannot jump the start.

E-3: Drivers must maintain reasonable pace speed (+/- 10 MPH)

E-4: Drivers cannot switch lanes prior to crossing the start/finish line unless they are avoiding a hazard.

E-5: Drivers are allowed to pass prior to the start finish so long as they do not switch lanes.

E-6: No passing prior to the green flag being waved

 

Section F - Points System

 

F-1: We will use the same system as NASCAR. 43pts for 1st, 42 for 2nd, 41 for 3rd, and so on

F-2: No Chase. Most points over the full season wins the championship.

F-3: One bonus point will be awarded for leading a lap, leading the most, and three will be awarding for winning the race.

F-4: In the event of a tie, the driver with more 1st place finishes in entitled to the position. If there is still a tie, we will use most 2nd place finishes, 3rd's, 4th's, and so on until the tie is broken.

F-5: A driver is entitled to no more than two provisionals during the season. If the driver requests one, they will receive last place points. I.E 25 race, you get 26th place points.

F-6: Drivers have until the start of an event to request a provisional.

F-7: Drivers found to have raced in another league on the night they requested a provisional, will be denied a provisional.

 

Section G - Teams

 

G-1: Teams may consist of one to four drivers.

G-2: Drivers cannot race on a team they do not own.

G-3: Numbers are registered by the team owner, it is up to them how they will be used.

G-4: Substitutes are permitted, however, they will only earn owner points, not points for the driver they a subbing for.

G-5: Drivers on the same team must run the same manufacturer.

G-6: Numbers are given out on a first come, first serve basis.

 

Section H - Paint Schemes

 

H-1: Sponsors are registered by team. If you want to run a sponsor that is already registered, you must contact the team that claimed it first.

H-2: Paint schemes cannot contain anything libelous or discriminatory, nudity, or anything that can be considered offensive within reason.

 

Section I - Penalties

 

I-1: Only an official can administer a penalty.

I-2: In the event an official is involved in an incident, he/she will not be allowed to decide the outcome.

I-3: Drivers can file a protest, within reason, to an official after the race. It will be reviewed as soon as possible.

I-4: Drivers have a right to appeal a penalty. An official not involved in the dispute will make his/her decision.

I-5: Once the official hearing an appeal decides on an incident, that ruling will be final.

I-6: Drivers are subject to an on track penalty, EOL, qualifying ban, points penalty, temporary suspension, or permanent suspension as the officials deem necessary.

I-7: An appeal or protest will only be heard within 48 hours following an event.

I-8: While not required, when appealing/protesting drivers are strongly encouraged to also provide a replay of the incident to support their case.

 

Section J - Miscellaneous

 

J-1: There will always be more than one official either in race, or active within the league. Think of this like a system of checks and balances.

J-2: By racing at iNSRA, your name and vehicle may appear in recap articles, videos, or broadcasts.

J-3: ASK do not ASSUME. It is always better to ask for an explanation and/or if something is legal/illegal than to assume one way or another.

J-4: The rulebook may be amended at any time, but not without proper notice given to all drivers and officials.
